DJ Death Mistress is a purveyor of fine dark music.
From New Wave to Dark Wave to Synth Wave. From Goth to Industrial to EBM. From Synthpop to Futurepop to Dreampop.
Based in Northwest Arkansas, Death Mistress began as a radio DJ for KXUA when the radio station was founded in 2000. Every Saturday night from 10 to midnight, goths would gather ’round the meager light of a few black candles and a radio tuned to her show, greedy to hear her mix all the classics combined with the new forms the genre was beginning to take.
Since college radio days, Death Mistress has been involved with Ravenwood, Masque and Veil, Kinetic Productions, and the Gothic Council in Chicago. She was a resident 80s and EBM DJ for the Dark Room.
Now, DJ Death Mistress is the resident DJ for Gloom Collective and performs at Goth Tea Society events like Goth Prom NWA and the Vampire Ball.
